Dr. Copeland is originally from Findlay, Ohio, and received his medical degree from the University of Chicago/Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He served his orthopaedic residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals and decided to complete an additional year of advanced training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. During this year, his training was focused solely on sports-related injuries at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute, where he served as assistant team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros and the University of Houston Cougars. His extensive medical experience makes it possible to provide the best orthopaedic and sports medicine care.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Copeland enjoys playing soccer, golfing, skiing and running, as well as spending time with his wife and two children.
